Following the introduction of the Mazda CX-90, a three-row midsize crossover SUV, in 2024, Mazda is set to debut the new Mazda CX-70 in 2025 as a two-row version of the Mazda CX-90. The 2025 Mazda CX-70 offers gas and plug-in hybrid powertrain options, bringing exciting features and innovations from bumper to bumper.
The 2025 Mazda CX-70 stands out with its elongated, almost flat roof and hood surfaces. Molded wheel arches highlight its sleek sides. The front end features a broad grille accented by chrome, which extends upward to meet the LED accent ribbons in the headlights. Additionally, the front fascia includes uniquely shaped, mesh-enhanced air vents.
The 2025 Mazda CX-70 is powered by a turbocharged inline-6, 3.3-liter gas engine, producing between 280 and 340 horsepower. This engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, complemented by paddle shifters on the steering wheel. The plug-in hybrid variant offers a 26-mile all-electric range and generates 323 horsepower. The Mazda CX-70 comes with Intelligent Drive Select, offering drive modes for off-road, EV, Towing, and Sport.
